WHO I IS
I’m Gassan Aqel, often referred to as Gass, a versatile artist with a background spanning visual arts, music, writing, animation, video editing, and design. I began my career in the corporate world as a video game developer and later worked as a TV and commercial producer before shifting in 2016 to pursue the arts full time. Since then, I have exhibited internationally, released four solo music albums, and written a book, with a second currently underway. My work explores themes of love, consumerism, philosophy, psychology, sexuality, depression, and the environment.
//Besides all the formal stuff written above, I have a huge love for video games and spend a big chunk of my time playing them. I’m mostly drawn to story driven single player games, though I occasionally enjoy multiplayer games when I find the right crowd. For some reason, I can never really get into multiplayer games on my own. I always prefer playing them with people I know personally.
Cinema is another massive source of inspiration in my life. I became fascinated by films as a kid, and that fascination only keeps growing stronger with age. In many ways, video games and films are my biggest creative influences, while music is the glue that ties them all together.
